session guide

heirlooms from your everyday life

My goal for every session is simple. Help you feel comfortable enough to be yourselves.

I photograph with intention, watching for the moments you won’t even realize are happening.

The way you naturally laugh together. The way you lean in without thinking about it.

The kind of interactions that feel like you on a normal day, just documented.

the process

We’ll create a few natural, everyone-looking images because they matter, but that is not where the session lives.

The real moments happen when you stop thinking about the camera and start leaning into each other.

Let your kids be kids. Let your partner be close. Let things feel a little unpolished and real. Laugh when it’s chaotic.

Slow down when it settles. Be present with your people.

My role is to make this feel easy so you can focus on each other instead of the camera. The goal is not perfection.

It is real connection. You do not need to be “good at photos.” Come as you are.

A little awkward.

A little playful.

Fully yourselves.

That is where the magic actually is.

I will gently guide you so nothing feels stiff or overthought, while paying attention to light, movement, and the small details that make your story yours.

Trust the process. Love on your people.

helpful notes

1

How to prepare

Eat beforehand. Hungry people do not photograph well. Leave extra time for travel so you are not arriving stressed. Come ready to be present with each other, not the camera.

2

Coordinate, don’t match

Choose tones that work well together rather than identical outfits. Think cohesive, not copy and paste. If you feel good in it, that is what matters most.

3

Movement over posing

Small movement creates better energy and more natural images. Walk instead of standing still. Talk instead of staring at the camera. Interact instead of holding a pose too long. If I place you somewhere, that is just the starting point. Lean in. Step closer. Brush hair back. Wrap your arms tighter, then loosen them again. The best images usually happen between the pose and the reset.

4

Timing matters

Light changes everything. The hour before sunset is ideal. The light is softer, more even, and far more flattering. Cloudy days are also beautiful. The light becomes diffused and consistent, which gives us flexibility to move freely without fighting the sun. If you are unsure what time to book, I will help you choose the best window for the look and feel you want

Photographs you will come back to again and again.

after your session

After your session, I carefully go through every image and select the moments that feel natural, connected, and true to your story. Each photograph is then edited with intention and care.

Your private online gallery will be delivered within 4 weeks. From there, you can download, share, and print your images easily.

Take your time when you view them. The first scroll is always emotional. The second is when you start noticing the quiet details you missed the first time.

These are not just photos from a good day. They become part of your story.
